So this old set of Recaros are at a local auction place to me. Nobody has an idea what kind of car they came from or if they were aftermarket. The fact that they have seat belts attached makes me think factory.

They are a little dirty but still very supporting and comfy.

Any ideas?

something about the cloth makes me think Nissan, but I can’t be sure. Looks like they’re  just regular specialist s seats. Very nice, especially if you get them cheap.

Look kind of early 90s Mustang Cobra-ish to me.

But I’m sure they are all pretty similar.

Those headrests look the same where the GTIs was a little different. But seat belts are different.

“ Normal” recaro’s that came in many different OEM fits. Mk4/mk5 ford escorts had them/similar i recall

the 1993 Cobras didn’t come with Recaros, IIRC Recaros only were options in the early ‘80s and in the SVO

You’re right. I went back and actually read the post the pic was on instead of just the label on the GIS I did and it was somebody being tongue-in-cheek about it being a rare option when they installed them as a custom touch. They are out of a Jetta GLI.

The image I posted was a 1993 Cobra but the seats were actually out of a Jetta. The image search label was misleading.
